Kheibar Shekan Missile

The Kheibar Shekan missile is a medium range ballistic missile in service with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard since 2022. It was developed and produced in Iran by Iranian engineers. It was named in honor of the 628 AD Battle of Kheibar. As of 2024, it has been used to attack ISIS terrorist camps in Iraq and Pakistan.

Precision is one of its main flight characteristics of the Kheibar Shekan missile and it belongs to the third generation of IRGC. As it homes in on its target, it has the technical capacity to maneuver to avoid and pass through enemy air defenses right before the moment of impact.

The Kheibar Shekan missile is powered by a solid fuel rocket engine. Solid fuel gives this weapon the advantage of a quick preparation for launch. It also has a reduced maintenance requirements if you compared to liquid-fueled rockets.
